Hi - Before I go too deep in that (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...d-Sonos-trying) I'd like to make sure I'm not missing an existing plugin that does that job of a gateway between a SB device and a uPnP media renderer, including command transcoding. I know that LMS accepts uPNP client, but the features seems limited, at least according to my understanding, as
1/ it requires each client to add and start to play a URL like http://<LMS server>/stream.mp3 (there is no autodiscovery)
2/ it does not seem to include stop, start and volume control probably because there is not LMS <-> uPNP command gateway
Did I get this right or is such a plugin existing and I missed it ? Don't want to re-invent (too much) the wheel, as I'm at a point where I've got the basics running, but there is still a lot of efforts ahead - although it is a fun mini-project
