While checking my system (iMac on Mavericks, running 7.7.3 of LMS) I found the "Squeezebox" directory and software in the folder /Library/StartupItems. As far as I know, the method of launching services via programs in this folder is depreciated by Apple and may soon no loger be supported. At the moment, I have no particular issues, but I am wondering if these files are just leftovers from a previous version of Squeezebox or whether this method is actually still in use and should be migrated to LaunchDaemons or LaunchAgents at some point.
Any thoughts?
