Need A Hand Getting Media Server To Run Correctly

Hi Everyone,

I am having problems getting the Logitech Media Server to run properly. It is running and I can play my tunes with it but the issue that I am having bothers me and I would like to "fix it".

The hardware that I am using:
13-Inch Mid 2010 MacBook Pro
8GB of RAM
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
2GB Western Digital Network Hard Drive (all my music is on this drive and is played from it)
Logitech "Touch"

My problem... When I go to the "System Preferences" page and double click the "Logitech Media Server" tile a window opens that says "To use the “Logitech Media Server” preferences pane, System Preferences must quit and reopen." I select the "OK" button and the window closes. In the past after I clicked the "OK" button the Media Server window would pop up and all was good. I am not getting that response anymore. Nothing happens.

I have found and followed some "Un install" instructions that I found on this site and reinstalled the software but that did not fix my issue.

Given my limited knowledge I must ask for help. I do not know what to do to get the software running properly and I hope that someone would be kind enough to offer some advice.

Many thanks!

Brian
