Running LMS 7.8.1 on QNAP TS-112P QTS 4.1.1 - Not re-rebooting

The problem I have is if I make changes to the settings then LMS doesn't seem to restart and the settings remain the same. Re-booting the NAS doesn't seem to have any effect either. Any help would be gratefully received.
