I have Logitech Media Server 7.9 running on my bedroom PC (win7 - i5 2.9 ghz with 12gb ram)
I have tried playback on yamaha receiver (rxv-673 with network radio) and a laptop running vlc (both accessing the server via 192.168.1.16:9000/stream.mp3)
they both stream fine but there seems to be a 50 second delay from the server to either the laptop or the receiver. So if I skip a track via the web interface it takes about 50 seconds for me to hear the new track out of the speakers. VLC on the laptop is set to cache 1000 ms.
on my bedroom pc if I use VLC to stream (localhost:9000/stream.mp3 or 127.0.0.1:9000/stream.mp3) the delay is 1 or 2 seconds. is there anyway to reduce the delay on the remote clients?
Playback test files are 320 kbps CBR mp3 files, network is N wireless.
