I missed the sale on this Lenovo Q190 for $150, http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/desktop...q-series/q190/, but apparently it comes along every so often.
How does that machine look as an LMS server? Site lists it as having:
Processor
Intel Mobile Celeron Dual-Core 1017U (1.60GHz 2MB)
Operating system
Windows 8.1 with Bing 64
Memory
4.0GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333 MHz
a HDD, a bunch of USB 2 and 3.0 ports, HDMI, vga, gbit ethernet, comes w/ keyboard & mouse.
I know nothing about that processor. Would it have any problem transcoding 24/192 flacs to mp3 on-the-fly? I currently have remote playback setup in iPeng and would sometimes need that capability. I also have a few .dsf files that would need to be transcoded to 88.2 and/or 176.4 pcm (my receivers' dac aren't dsd capable).
Thanks for your opinions!
