Cannot play mp3 audiofiles with variable bit rate (VBR)

Hello

If I try to listen to an audiobook in MP3 format I got the strange behaviour that some audiobooks are showing a duration of -509:20:15. The audiobooks are between 20 and 40 hours long and with variable bit rate (VBR). This issue is displayed on different squeezeboxes, allways the same error.

The audiobooks begin to play , but after a while they start again. If I do a fast-forward then the audiobook again starts from the beginning.

If I play these mp3 audiobooks with another player like winamp on a pc there are no issues at all.

The MP3 audiocodec has a variable bitrate (VBR). I just have seen issues with VBR audiocodecs but I did not find a solution so far.
I also have not seen an error in LMS server and scanner logfiles.

How can I play mp3 audiofiles with VBR on a squuezebox?
