I've been inspired by this forum by the idea of creating a low cost but high quality multi-room sound setup using the low cost Berry equipment on the market.
From what I can gather so far, a Raspberry Pi running LMS plugged directly into a HiFiBerry AMP would start the ball rolling at a total price of about £70 (plus it would be nice to add a case that would encapsulate the two to make it more domestically friendly).
Anyway that would be a single room setup, how then do I make this a multi-room setup? Do I just put together another pairing like this and somehow link them from the other room?
And what good, "low cost high quality sounding" loudspeakers would you recommend for the main room - then perhaps lower cost little speakers for, say, the kitchen etc?
Then I assume your friendly remote control would be iPeng on the phone for example? Goodbye Sonos hello Pies and Berries?!
