Too many open files - Server Hang

Hi all,

since a few weeks ( I am not sure but could hoave to do with an update), after some time of running just good (10 days or so), the Server gets hanged and I can see some last entries in the log saying:

The server then CAN NOT (!) be terminated by the little tray icon nor using the desktop symbol.

Can someone help me please?


Two questions:

1.) How can I kill the Server without having to shutdown the whole machine (there are other processes on that machine!)

2.) What can I do to find out more and fix the problem?
