LMS 7.9 Debian 8 AMD-64 Radio Stream Transcoding Problems

After running LMS for the past few years on a HP N40L microserver running Debian 7 (AMD-64), I decided to update to the 7.9 nightlies with a fresh install of Debian Jessie AMD-64. Everything mostly works, but I'm having an intermittant problem when streaming radio in that after a (random) time there is no audio when changing to a new stream. Restarting LMS solves the problem and audio plays.

As per another thread, I've not installed ia32 as this is now depreciated in Debian, and 7.9 has 64 bit binaries included. I did however install libflac8 and libgomp1 to make the sox and flac binaries work correctly.

I've got a couple of Duets, Booms and a PiCorePlayer, some synchronised. My local files are a mixture of FLAC, OGG & MP3 and everything works as expected. I don't have Bitrate limiting enabled as I'm connected using cables.

I suspect it's a transcoder issue, as the logs sometimes complain e.g. "Didn't find any command matches for type: mp3" although the type can be 'aac', 'ogg' or even 'unk' ... which I assume is a truncated 'unknown'? I've also seen that an ogg stream is incorrectly identified as an mp3, so maybe this is the root cause?

Perl -v shows "This is perl 5, version 20, subversion 2 (v5.20.2) built for x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi(with 42 registered patches)" which seems to be correct.

I have attached a server.log file which shows the debug info from player.source and player.streaming while changing between favourites from the web GUI. Everything plays as expected until the last change, when everything goes quiet. Fortunately, the first and last selections in the log are the same radio stream, so the different decisions can be compared. The problem is I don't understand what's going wrong! Can anyone help?

Just to reiterate, restarting LMS and pressing 'play' fixes the problem straight away, and these failures have happened on every stream type and every radio stream

ogg stops - server.log

If more logging info is needed to to pinpoint the problem then please tell me what logs to enable and I'll post them.

Thanks in advance,
Ben
