Weird issue with my USB HD music library - not recognised at LMS startup. Please help

Something strange has started to happen with my beloved Squeezebox ecosystem !

When I start up my Win 10 laptop LMS server machine (latest 7.9x LMS version) and try to play music via SqueezeCommander on S3 phone, a playlist appears but no album art & nothing plays.

To get it working properly I have to unplug the USB HD and plug it back in again (as though it somehow needs refreshing).

This hasn't been an issue before.

Any ideas ?
