Hi I have a vortexbox to serve up music to my squeezeboxes and do local playback.
Asked a question about hdcd but was told LMS handles it so may be better asking on here.
On my main hi-fi vortexbox running LMS with usb connected dac. My DAC has a PMD100 HDCD filter. So I was wondering can I disable LMS from decoding the hdcd and outputting as a 24bit container?
Just can't see point of having LMS doing work in software when I have a seriously good filter capable of doing it in hardware designed by company that came up with hdcd and the encoders as well.
