I've been using LMS on my main Win7 PC for a few years now. It's not on 24x7, turned on when I need to use it.
I'd like to move LMS off the main PC so I can mess around with the PC without interfere with LMS. I'd also like to leave it on 24x7 so I don't have to turn it on when I need to listen to music. Currently my music files are on the PC, but I can easily move it to my NAS so it's accessible remotely.
I am thinking about using a RPI2 for this purpose. Is it fast enough to run LMS with reasonable speed? It's cheap, does not use a lot of power (so leave it on 24x7 is no problem), and small footprint. But I am wondering if it'll be fast/powerful enough to run LMS.
Anyone using Pi as their LMS? Any feedback on performance?
Are there better alternatives for running LMS besides the pi? Thanks.
