Hi folks
A few days ago Tunein removed some of the Belgian stations -- for example I like VRT Klara brussels which I'd had as a favourite.
Tunein removed these stations as they hadn't paid !! -- didn't realize that stations to be listed on tunein had to pay -- anyway whatever the cause it's easy to restore these again.
However it's quite easy once you find the real stream (not the website) and the Icon URL + any descriptive text you need.
Now simply add it into the favourites file
In Windows it's usually in C:\programdata\squeezebox\prefs\favorites.opml.
In most Linux distros it's in \var\lib\squeezeboxserver\prefs\favorites.opml
add your favourite for example VRT Klara in Brussels
<outline URL="http://mp3.streampower.be/klara.aac" icon="http://radiotime-logos.s3.amazonaws.com/s18556q.png" text="VRT Classical" type="audio" />
The ist URL is the STREAM of the radio / music source, the icon URL is after the keyword icon (you can have your own too if you want), add user text and finish with type=audio
File is the same on windows / Linux
You can add favorite from the server settings but you will only get the bog standard favorite icon (heart shape thing) if you do it that way.
Easier to change the opml file.
Icons etc will be shown on your playback devices properly again.
You can also use this method if you lose your icons too or want to change them or the descriptive text.
Cheers
