I have a pesky problem that I have been struggling with for months. The challenge is that when I change the names of my players, when the server or player ( I am not 100% sure which ) stops playing, the name of the player reverts to an old name. The old name seems to be stuck and won't change.
This has happened on the last several versions of LMS and I am currently running 7.9.0. I have 4 players all wired to a controller that I have in each room that provides music for the room. Having the players logically named, allows me to switch to the player that is running the playlist that I want to listen to.
As a secondary question, any idea why the players randomly stop playing? I have the Advanced Settings configured to restart the player when powered off, but they aren't technically being powered off, they seem to be stopping.
