Hallo,
quite a year ago I implemented LMS 7.7.x on my MBLD. Newer releases were available at the time, but I got only this version stable and running.
"Never touch a running system!" - I know... but for some good reason newer music files do not appear in the list - despite repeated attempts to reread the database.
So I decided to give an upgrade a try.
1. After three or four attempts - including complete uninstallation via "apt-get purge" - LMS 7.9.0 finally came to life.
2. The read-in of the media DB broke again and again at different points. So I switched off all plug-ins and customized settings as lean as possible. Success! After two days 66 K mp3-files found their way into LMS-media-DB...
3. But the read-in of the album covers remained at #129 for hours and hours... so I stopped the read-in, not knowing if the complete results are lost or not... Happiness! DB is still their and accessible.
4. So I decided yesterday to choose an update read-in for newer files - in the hope that the unfinished scan of the album cover can be successfully completed.
And today...
LMS is down and dead - even a reboot of MBLD don´t brought it back to life :(
I tried to restart the Server manual via PuTTy - with no success:
Right now I'm at my wit's end...
I´m not in the mood for a next complete reinstallation and rescan and ...
