Hi - two questions:
1) I have used Foorbar2000 to calculate Replay Gains/Peaks and some REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK values are > 1.000. I am just wondering how this is possible? I also use EZ CD Audio Converter which doesn't produce any Peaks > 1.00.
2) I listen to a lot of classical music and a lot of tracks have REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN > 0.0, but if the Peak is close to 1.00 then these Gains have no effect. Is there a way to create say 6-12dB headroom so the +ve gain works? I would have thought that since CDs are 16bit, and the DACs on my SB3s are 24 bit this should be pretty easy without any loss of quality?
