LMS won't run on Win 10 anymore....HELP!

I need some help, please.

I had LMS running perfectly on Win 10 for several months before I built a R pi Picore server. I want to switch back to Win 10, but now the LMS server won’t stay running. It starts and runs very briefly – maybe 5 or 8 seconds, then ‘stops’.
According to the Logitech App, port 3483 (slimproto) and 9090 (cli) show as ‘failed’ for LMS; for mysqueezebox, ports 3483 and 9000 show ‘ok’.
Here are the last few lines on the server log:
---------------------------------------------------------------
[20-10-19 12:28:24.0081] Slim::Networking::Repositories::__ANON__ (146) Failed to fetch https://repos.squeezecommunity.org/extensions.xml: Connect timed out: Bad file descriptor
[20-10-19 12:28:24.0082] Slim::Networking::Repositories::__ANON__ (149) https lookup failed - trying plain text http instead: http://repos.squeezecommunity.org/extensions.xml
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These two same lines repeat dozens of times prior to these last two.

This is: Logitech Media Server v7.9.2, 1578207830, Sun Jan 5 08:08:09 WEST 2020

I switched back to the Win 8.1 computer running 7.9.0 which is working perfectly 24/7 for the last several days while I have been trying to figure out what’s wrong with 10.

In the period when I was using picore, the only changes that were made to the Win 10 computer were the ‘usual’ Win 10 updates and I had the live version of Malware Bytes running for a while. The free trial is over so the live protections are not on now, and I’ve tried turning off Malware altogether and that didn’t help LMS.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!! Thanks…
