Beginner's question - how to install recent LMS on Synology DS118?

Synology unfortunately decided to remove support for LMS. There's no
future proof way to install LMS on a Diskstation. If your NAS supports
Docker, you can run a dockerized version of LMS. Or you get a Pi to run
LMS on...
