I was (and still am) a Slim Devices Transporter user since 2006 (now in my office for streaming Qobuz and local file playback) and currently run a lightweight, fanless PC running squeezelite as my LMS endpoint into my DAC over USB in my main system.
I am an LMS groupie and will not be changing...however, there are a lot of nice devices out there (sotm, aurender, lumin, auralic etc) that look interesting and beg to be bench marked against my current endpoint, but the only conduit for LMS to talk to these devices is over DLNA.
I am 100% sure that the LMS DLNA implementation is rock solid but wanted to check if anyone runs LMS with DLNA into these types of devices:
- Any stability issues?
- If the device has a fancy screen, do you get cover art etc
I am not worried about sound quality (thats down to the individual device) but rather whether they work well with LMS/DLNA
Thanks,
Peter
