Replaygain and listening to a playlist while doing a full rescan of the library

Apologies if my question has already been answered before.

I am using replaygain (tags) to deal with the volume differences between the albums in my library which works great.

While doing a "Clear library and rescan everything", the current playlist is being kept and continues to play... except for replaygain meaning I have to rush and adjust the playback volume.

Would it be possible to also keep the replay tags as part of the playlist when doing a full rescan?
