LMS does not mount a 2 TB usbportable disc

using piCoreplayer device (as a newbie) I mount a 2 tb usbportable. Within LMS this device can not be mounted or scanned within the settings menu.
Is there a limitation since sticks and 1 tb usbportable gave no problems?
