Is this the warning about it being downloaded from an "untrusted" source
or something? Right click the package and it should run just fine.

That said: I've started working on getting LMS up to speed with more
recent Mac development, in particular support for the M1 CPU. You can
find that in the 8.3 nightly builds:

https://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.3

While it's still under development, it's pretty stable at this point. If
you don't feel comfortable running a dev version, just stick with 8.2.
It should run just fine anyway.
