I like to clear the playlist, when I stop using LMS, and keep it empty until next time.
Recently I bought a Squeezebox Boom and decided to assign a "clear playlist" command to one of its preset buttons.
I'm using this url command:
http://10.0.1.201:9000/status.html?p0=playlist&p1=clear
Now I'm not sure if this is the correct way to do this, because this clears the playlist, but it adds a new entry in the playlist - "clear playlist.m3u", and tries to play it. Of course it doesn't output any sound, and when I turn off my Boom, the playback of the m3u file stops, so I guess it shouldn't keep LMS and the device it is installed on active. But I would prefer to have the playlist really "cleared", like it would be if I pressed the clear playlist button on the web interface.
Is there a way to achieve this by using a preset button on the Boom?
