Remembering track position in playlists

I've noticed recently that whenever I play a saved playlist it always re-starts from the 1st track in the playlist, it used to remember the last track that was being played and pick-up playback from that track - this behaviour is (was) very useful as I use playlists to rehearse songs prior to gigs, and remembering where I am in the playlist allows me to easily pick-up from where I left off.

Is this a recent change or a bug or is there a setting buried somewhere that I need to "re-check" to enable this functionality?
