I changed by internet service provider, who, during install, has provided me with a modem/router. All is working fine in the transition to the new wifi signal, except Squeezebox! Here is some of what i know:
Win7 on PC
Win Firewall is on but Squeezebox Server allowed as an exception program for public and private network.
Virus protection software shows the Squeezebox folder as an exception (does not allow virus protection to it)
I can access MYSqueezebox.com
I have turned everything off and started the router/modem, then the computer, then the SBS program and then the Squeezebox
The Squeezebox recognizes the new wifi signal but it is not able to find the server.
The SBS program does not recognize the 4 Squeezeboxes in the house.
In SBS Settings - i found the Server IP address and tried to program the address manually in the SB, but that didn't work and now it no longer seeks to connect to "My Music" but this address, which i think changed when i restarted the machine.
The old ip router/modem are fully disconnected
In any case, i am at wit's end. It seems this should not be so complicated for the SBS to see the new wifi signal and find the server....At least it sees the signal. Is there a modem configuration i am overlooking?
I'd really appreciate some guidance on this one.
