LMS won't auto start at log-in, Win 8.1, McCaffee virus protection

I have had slimservers for years and just when I thought the software and user experience was getting really stable my win 7 computer went kaput and I got a new one with 8.1. I can't get it to autostart at log-in. I have tried admin privileges for the shortcut to start lms as well as for every exe in the slimserver directory. I turned off McCaffee. Even with all that when I start LMS from a shortcut on the desktop I am asked if I want this unknown software to have it's way with my computer.

Any thoughts?
