Okay, so I've been running LMS 7.7.2 and have a Squeezebox Radio, and all has been great until a few days ago. For some reason at that time the server simply started hanging during the scheduled library scan. It would say it was at stage 1, scanning directories, but the timer next to the progress bar would not start counting up and eight hours later it says it's still scanning....when I abort the scan it has not found anything.
So I abandoned the scheduled scan and tried just doing a manual scan....same result.
Next on the list of things to try was to uninstall and re install LMS, and now the server won't start at all. The icon in the system tray is grey and says the server is stopped. When I open the Control Panel and click Start Logitech Media Server is says it is starting, but five to ten seconds later it says it is stopped. I can't log into my mysqueezebox.com account because that option is grayed out, I can't add a media destination to scan for the same reason, so now I'm really stuck. Have tried a few more uninstalls and re-installs, and even tried installing the 7.8.0 beta version of LMS, but no version of the server will start.
