I just upgraded my turbonas to run LMS 7.8.0 - 1387542508 @ Sat Dec 28 19:20:00 PST 2013.
at first, I was delighted that the initial full scan of my ~11.000 tracks completed in just under one hour - about double the speed of my previous 7.5.1.!
BUT, every subsequent full rescan now takes ~4,5 hours...which is less than half as fast as 7.5.1 used to be. I tried deleting all the files in SqueezeCenter/Cache as seems to be recommended elsewhere, but that didn't improve the scanning speed at all.
My NAS's CPU is ~95% busy during the scan, so it is busy somehow...whereas the disks are not.
whats going on there?
you may ask "how trivial is that"? but I am suffering more or less dramatic albumart screw-ups since my move to 7.8.0 and I am wondering if the two phenomena could be connected.
