I was going to post a question, but at the last minute I worked out what I was doing wrong so posting an answer instead. My desire was to listen to the Absolute Radio 00s OggFLAC stream at http://network.absoluteradio.co.uk/c...pls?service=a0
I'm running LMS 7.8 from the nightly builds on a readyNAS NV+
First Issue
LMS doesn't understand the playlist file at the URL above so I downloaded it to get the actual stream URL which is http://icecast.timlradio.co.uk/absol....uk/a0flac.ogg
Second Issue
From the look of it my NAS doesn't have the oomph to transcode to FLAC (it's disabled in custom-convert.conf) but it seems to be able to transcode FLAC to PCM without any issues so I needed to added the following to create an OggFLAC to PCM converter.
ogf pcm * *
[flac] -dcs --ogg --force-raw-format --endian=little --sign=signed $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$
I have no idea how it works (I copied the FLAC to PCM transcoder and added --ogg) but thanks to whoever added the OggFLAC support to LMS 7.8.
