Hi,
I've been using 2 Squeezebox Radios, with LMS residing on an HP MediaSmart Server running Windows Home Server for a couple of years. The setup has been flawless, but as of last Christmas I've been having problems. It seems that after about three days, the squeezebox radios will not be able to see the LMS. When I loadup the Squeezeplayer on one of my PC's on the network, it can't see LMS on the server either. If I try to access LMS via my browser, it says that it can't connect to the server. The HP Server and router are running fine, as none of my other hardware/software that need access to the server are having any problems.
When I login to the HP Sever via the console, I check the LMS settings, and it says that LMS is running. If I stop LMS and then restart it, my squeezebox radios will see LMS and work fine. I can also access LMS via the browser again. Everything is good for about three days, and then the squeezebox radios and squeezeplayer will say that they can't find the server, and I can't access LMS via the browser anymore. I have to reset LMS through the HP Sever console to get everything working again.
When I check the server log I usually have this entry:
[14-02-15 09:53:37.1257] Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::Players::_player s_error (334) Unable to get players from SN: Timed out waiting for data, retrying in 600 seconds
Then, it'll have log entries like:
[14-02-15 10:04:07.1300] Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::_error (596) Unable to login to SN: Timed out waiting for data
and:
[14-02-15 10:04:07.1308] Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::Players::_player s_error (334) Unable to get players from SN: Timed out waiting for data, retrying in 1200 seconds
[14-02-15 10:36:24.1684] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Remote::__ANON__ (240) Error: Can't connect to remote server to retrieve playlist for, http://sfstream1.somafm.com:2204/: Connect timed out: Bad file descriptor.
LMS will no longer respond to anything until I reset it using the HP console, which generates the following entry:
[14-02-15 10:35:43.8907] main::init (354) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.7.3, 1375965195, Mon Aug 12 11:14:33 CUT 2013) perl 5.014001
Is anyone else seeing this? Can anyone help me out on this?
Thanks,
MDubya
