Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time Change Rescan

With LMS having just finished doing a full rescan of my music files caused by the recent time change from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time, I would like to know if there is an easy way to prevent this from happening every six months when the time changes.

I seem to remember someone stating that this forced full rescan, which plagued Squeezebox Server and MySQL, would not happen once I switched to Logitech Media Server and SQLite but that does not seem to be the case.

I would greatly appreciate any help with really annoying problem.
