I have been using SBT to access music on my QNAP NAS drive. I have has LMS installed on the NAS for some time now.
Recently my SBT no longer sees the server. the music folder and playlists are empty. When I use the tablet apps and PC, they also show empty folders. The same folders are still accessible via DLNA on my other devices.
I'm not sure if it's related, but my PC crashed during a windows 8.1 update a couple of weeks ago and I had to restore it to factory settings and then re-update 8.1. Nothing changed on the NAS drive. I have disabled and re-enabled LMS on the NAS but this did not work. I then removed LMS and re-installed it but I cannot navigate to the server in order to set up the multimedia folders.
Surprisingly, I installed LMS on my PC and if my PC is turned on the SBT can access the music on the NAS. I don't have my PC running all the time so I need to get the LMS on the NAS working again.
I'm not sure where to start. I've read that it could be a firewall issue, but then why does it work with LMS on my PC? Are there firewalls on the NAS?
