Scanner fails on 96KHz/24bit ALAC M4A files

It seems that scanner.exe is not able to extract all the artwork and meta data from HiDef 96KHz/24bit ALAC M4A files.

Has anyone else experienced this?

And is the chance of getting it fixed, in any way greater than zero?
