Hi all
I am using LMS 7.2.2-006 on a Synology DS 408. I am aware that this is a fairly old version, but it's the newest one available on my DS408.
I have noticed the following slightly strange behavior when trying to play 24bit/192khz FLAC Files.
- When I stream the FLAC file natively as FLAC, downsampling works
- When I stream the FLAC file as PCM, I get an "unsupported bitrate" error
See the attached PDF for the relevant screenshots
It seems strange to me that the simpler of the two cases would not work:
- going from FLAC to PCM, downsampling and then converting back to FLAC works
- going from FLAC to PCM, downsampling and then streaming as PCM does not work
Is this behavior intended or is it an error in the coding logic? Is this behavior still present in the 7.8.x and 7.9.x branches?
Thanks and best regards
Rudi
