Hi, in NZ Mediaworks (media content provider) provide the best quality radio streams as rtsp based streams. For example;
rtsp://live-non-geo.mediaworks.co.nz/live/theedge_96kbps
The codec for stream 1 if I look under VLC appears as MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a).
Is there a way of supporting rtsp streams like this either natively in LMS or through a 3rd party plugin?
The stream plays fine in VLC, and it appears that some are using VLC to do on the fly transcoding to something useable by LMS, but I'm unsure how the audio feed would be integrated into the LMS menus.
It would be great if there was a generic plugin that would allow an rtsp URL to be entered that could be pushed to player groups like everything else.
Does such a thing exist or how would I go about doing this?
thanks!
