Hello,
I know this topic was very often discussed here in this forum, and there are many proposals (permissions of files, structure of folders ...) for resolving this problem. I spent hours with testing, resetting the readynas or / and the LMS, I made factory resets even with a totally new setup of the Server with all data - no success.
My media data is stored in 3 subfolders under "media": \pictures, \music, \Video
The permissions are set to public - everyone can Access (I tried other permissions before - no success. But are there any hidden permissions?)
The OS is RAIDiator 4.1.14 [1.00a043] at the moment, but former OS behaved in the same way.
The LMS ist 7.8.0 at the moment, but former LMS behaved in the same way.
If I scan the media folder or the media\music folder ONLY for music, it takes some hours (nearly 20.000 files) and all works fine - but I cannot see pictures and videos.
If I scan the media folder or the 3 subfolders for music AND pictures AND videos, the systems hangs after a while, and I have to restart.
What am I doing wrong? Or is LMS absolutely not able to scan pictures and videos?
Thanks for hints,
best regards,
Heinz
