LMS randomly duplicates songs and albums

I've done a lot of searching on this and can't seem to find a solution. I've found threads relating to Linux based servers where the solution was to edit the SQL queries. But I'm using a Windows 7 system. Plus, I'm not a db expert by any means.

Here's my situation:
I recently moved my music files and LMS (SqueezeBox Server) from a Windows Home Server to a new Windows 7 (64) system. I also installed the latest version of LMS (7.7.5) on the Windows 7 machine.
I do not use iTunes.
My library is at:
\Music\MP3
\Music\Playlists
These are the only folders set in the "Library" section of the LMS control panel. I removed the default ones pointing to "My Music"

The info screen on LMS states it is using SQL lite

While I never had a duplicate song issue when using LMS on the previous Windows Home Server, I have a severe duplication problem on the Windows 7 server.

Each time I tell LMS to "clear and rescan" and I will get different results. Basically, about 20% of my music will be effected with duplicated songs and even duplicated albums. Some albums will be duplicated 6 times!

I know my header/tag info is correct as these are the same files that were being hosted on my previous Windows Home Server with out any issues.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

I found that my duplication issue was relayed to my playlists after all. Even though they are not located in a sub-directory under the music files. On a hunch I deleted all my playlists and had LMS do a delete and rescan of my music - and voila, all the duplicates were gone!

Since, as I mentioned I had moved all of my music onto a new server I realized I had to edit my LMS playlists with the new server's name. So, I opened them in notepad and did a search and replace with the new name. Then saved the file. I guess editing a playlist like that is a no-no?

As a final test, I created a new playlist from scratch in the LMS browser, saved it and did another full rescan and the results were still good - no duplicates.
Now, I just have to go through the very tedious procedure of recreating all of my playlists (I had about 20)..... D'oh
