Media scan on LMS verses Google TV ?

I'm trying to work out how to have my google TV reliably see the contents of my ReadyNAS LMS server for Videos, Photos and sometimes music. I don't particularly want to run a DNLA service from both the ReadyNAS and the LMS, but it looks like that might be my only choice.

When I tell LMS to scan for media in the "basics" settings. Is that setting up a DB for other DNLA renderes to use, i.e. Google TV? Or is it only setting up a DB for Squeezebox devices, like the Boom and Radio. I ask because when I tell Google TV to index my source, I can see it spins up the SB process to 98% of the cpu but nothing happens in the scanner.log file suggesting it's not running a SB scan but instead indexing silently.

Also a SB scan never finds my Video's or Pictures, only music. Even though it's supposed to support the formats I use, i.e. jpg and mp4, so I'm wondering if it's only looking at media that is supported for play by the SB renderes and hence they can't show jpgs and mp4, only artwork which is does successfully find.

Help?
