Playlists not showing up in the folder

Hi I am running 8.2.0 on a M2P. If I save a playlist file , It appears to save correctly but when I browse the playlist folder with my laptop, the recently saved file does not appear to exist? Is the playlist file cached for a bit by any chance? If so , is there anyway to force an immediate save?
