I have been having these two problems with my Squeezebox Touch setup these past couple of weeks.
1) The sound drops out now and then. I.e. when I am playing some music now and then the music stops for a short time and then resumes (it only last a second or so). I think it happens primarily when streaming internet radio or Spotify (Triodes plugin). This doesn't happen all the time. I can ussually listen for a while before it starts happening. (I think I may have seen the Touch saying something like "re-buffering" while this happened).
2) Sometimes the music after a while gets scrambled, and instead what plays is weird buzzing sounds. This doesn't go away unless I stop what I am playing and play something different. However, then it always goes away.
I am not sure if it is two separate problems just two symptoms of the same problem. I have been using my Touch for years and I never had these problems before. However, I did recently move to a new apartment, so maybe something got changed on the way.
The Touch is connected to my home stereo. The server is an Acer Aspire Revo nettop running Vortexbox (Fedora), I only quite recently started using this server and I am a little concerned it might be the problem. The server is connected to the network via ethernet cable and the Touch connects to the server via WiFi. I was thinking it might be a problem with the WiFi, however the router is only like 3-4 meters from the Touch, and when I check the signal strength on the Touch it says something like 90 or 100% (I did see it dive to 80% at one point).
Does anyone know how to fix this? Or at least what may be the problem?
