"your player was not found"

I'm at my wits end ! last week had problems with my network being slow ,finally solved it , discovered my router had set my lan in "green mode".
But , my classic sb lost all presets, and LMS had changed the gui language, AND in the upper right corner in the web interface i can't choose my player. "your player was not found".
After , in the radio , connecting to mysqueezebox.com server, i have my presets back. But i can't get my playlist onto the home menu ( where it was ), i have to switch to my local music folder to get to the playlist.
I find the LMS v. MSB settings confusing .In LMS settings,in the MSB tab the email and pw boxes are empty after a restart , but i can log on the MSB website.
Any advice is welcome
