I run tinyLMS on my Touch plus two SB Radios (one of which is a converted UE radio). Today, TinyLMS crashed as I could not connect to it with my iPad. (FYI, for some reason tinyLMS has been crashing a lot lately after running fine for 5 months.) The Touch showed it wanted a software update to 7.7.3 r16676. Since it would not let me exit, I let it update the software. This got me thinking, what software are my radios running? This is what I found:
Black Radio (converted UE) 7.7.3 r16667 (yes, r16667, as oppsed to r16676)
Red Radio 7.7.2 r9663
Touch 7.7.3. r16676
When i turned on the radios, they are also asking for the same software update 7.7.3 r16676). I have the following questions:
Why the sudden request for software 7.7.3 update? Wasn't 7.7.3 released last year?
Why has the red radio, as it is running 7.7.2, not asked for an update earlier?
While the version 7.7.3 has not changed, apparently there are different releases? So what is the difference between a version and a release?
Is the different versions or releases causing TinyLMS to crash more often?
Sorry if this was covered already. I don't read the forums everyday. (I know, some are probably saying WHAT?!)
thanks for any information.
Paul
