Using LMS 7.9 on windows 8.1 on an HP microserver n40l.
On Friday I'm having a home demo of a Naim SuperUniti (just in case :)) and so have activated the native uPnP plugin to see how it works and how it works with the Naim control app..
When I first activated it I could see it on my Sony Bravia TV, selected a track and hit play. I got a few seconds of white noise and then LMS as a server disappeared. Since then, nothing. I've tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating the plugin, rebooting the n40l and the TV. I tried switching off the windows firewall. But nothing seems to bring back LMS as a upnp server. Also tried to access it using the MediaMonkey app on my android phone but it doesn't appear.
I know in the end I would probably use Whitebear OR the new squeeze/upnp plugin but I was hoping for a simple way of auditioning the SuperUnity in a way that the Naim dealer would understand.
I've seen quite a few posts about the upnp plugin but mostly people seem to be able to make it work - even if they end up not being very happy with it.
Any suggestions?
